Do you feel self-conscious about your smile?
Have you noticed your teeth changing, shortening, or chipping?
Cosmetic dental veneers is one of the options available to give you back your confidence to smile again.
Here are a few reasons why our patients have come to us for cosmetic dental veneers.
Gapped, crooked, or misaligned teeth
Dark, discoloured, or stained teeth
What are Dental Veneers?
Cosmetic dental veneers are very thin layers of porcelain that are bonded onto your existing teeth to improve their colour, shape and size. Once placed, they feel like your natural teeth and looking after them is the same process – brushing and flossing twice a day.
What are Porcelain Veneers?
Porcelain veneers are one of the most sought after and effective options for improving your smile. Having a beautiful smile allows us to be our confident, happy selves.
What are they?
We team up with some of the most talented ceramicists to design and individually hand-craft these extremely thin shells of porcelain. Advances in modern technology allow veneers to be imperceptibly thin, long-lasting, and incredibly natural. Its fine, non-porous surface finish allows for the ideal natural lustre, and helps minimises stains even years after.
What can veneers correct?
Veneers may be an ideal option if you aren’t satisfied with:
unevenly shaped and sized teeth
gaps between your teeth
mildly crooked teeth
chipped and cracked teeth
What is involved in having Cosmetic Dental Veneers?
Creating and designing dental veneers is a highly bespoke process. First appointment is an extended chat to discuss your goals. Our dentists are trained to design smiles to be aesthetically pleasing as possible. When we design, we take into consideration your goals and work with our face shape, lip shape and fullness, amount of tooth display when you smile
If your teeth are healthy enough (no cavities or gum disease) we’ll draft a care plan that outlines the number of veneers you need, and all of the costs associated with the treatment. Depending on the width of your smile, most people elect to get around 6-10 veneers on average.
Your treatment will be broken up into two separate visits. At the first appointment we’ll prep your teeth and take an impression. We’ll also discuss the final design of your permanent veneers.
About two weeks later, you’ll return to our office to have your veneers bonded to each of your appropriate teeth. As soon as they’re placed, your smile will look completely new!
How much do veneers cost?
It depends. Our experienced dentists are able to discuss your goals and treatment options and align them with your budget. Our affordable, flexible payment plans make it easy to afford the cost of dental veneers without breaking your budget.
Types of Veneers
Most of our dental veneers are made from porcelain/ceramic. These veneer designs are hand-crafted in a lab for maximum aesthetic results. You can specify the exact shade, colour, and contour of the full set. Porcelain veneers are the best choice if you have several teeth that need to be addressed.
If you only need to correct the appearance of a single tooth, an in-house composite veneer can be designed and placed in one day. Using tooth-coloured composite, our Hawthorn dentist will shape the material directly on top of your tooth for a fast and affordable procedure.
Caring for Your Investment
Like your natural teeth, dental veneers can chip if they’re exposed to too much wear. If you have a habit of grinding or clenching your teeth, we recommend wearing a night guard (mouthguard) to avoid any damage to your new smile.
